No problem! Feel free to reach out via our “Contact us” page or send us an email at arepaculturenc@gmail.com. Thank you!

  1. How can I find your truck?

Stay connected via our social media! We post our schedule for the entire week at the start of each week in addition to posting our locations with addresses on a daily basis on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter! You can also find our schedule via SFF here on our website.

2. Are you just a food truck?

We are currently operating out of 1 food truck, but we are also working on expanding into our second food truck here in the Triangle. Hopefully, in the near future, we will also be opening up our first brick and mortar fast casual restaurant! Stay tuned…

3. How can I book you for a private event?

We would love to make your special event a memorable one. You can fill out the form on our “Catering” page and our event coordinator will follow up with you with more details.

4. Where do you usually take your truck?

We typically travel around the Triangle area on a daily basis (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Apex, etc). Occasionally, we also drive to Greensboro, Winston Salem & Mebane for large food truck festivals.

We usually serve at corporate office buildings, local breweries/bottle shops, apartment complexes/neighborhoods and large events/festivals at parks & downtowns.

5. Is everything you serve gluten-free?

YES! The arepa, itself, is naturally gluten-free so we chose to keep our entire menu 100% gluten-free as well. We can happily accommodate a variety of other dietary restrictions or preferences.

6. Are you celiac friendly?

Although we are not certified gluten-free, we do not use any ingredients that contain wheat, rye or barley (gluten). Additionally, we have many loyal celiac customers who have safely eaten with us and who continue to eat with us. With that being said, we do serve at local craft breweries and at events with other non-gluten-free food trucks so there may be a possibility for cross-contamination outside of our truck.

7. What is the arepa, itself, made out of?

We use 3 simple, clean ingredients: 100% pure white cornmeal, filtered water & a little salt. That's it! Always 100% gluten-free, soy-free, egg-free, dairy-free, etc!

8. Do you serve anything besides arepas?

We specialize in arepas, but we do provide a variety of menu options and flavors. On the occasion, we serve cachapas (a traditional Venezuelan sweet yellow corn “pancake”) as a special. Once we open our brick and mortar location, we will have more flexibility with our menu options.

9. How many arepas do people typically eat & what is the cost?

Two arepas is usually recommended for a meal. One is better for a snack, but, of course, that depends on how much you can eat and how hungry you are. That is why one signature arepa is $6.50 & you get a deal for two at $11.50 (including tax). For more details, refer to our “Menu” page.

10. Are you allergy-friendly?

Yes! We can happily accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions based on the Top 8 Food Allergens (milk, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, etc). Always be sure to let the team member at the order window know of any important allergies before ordering so we can better assist you and take the proper precautions when preparing your order.

11. I have a place where I think your truck could serve, how do I get this set up?

We are always happy to learn about new locations. If there's a local brewery/bottle shop, corporate office, apartment/neighborhood community, etc. that you have in mind, feel free to fill out the form on our “Contact us” page or send us an email at arepaculturenc@gmail.com.

12. Is your food kid-friendly?

Absolutely! We are still working on educating and bringing awareness to what arepas are, especially to children who can sometimes be picky-eaters. Feel free to ask the team member at the window for suggestions or recommendations as we are always happy to help! Luckily, none of our arepas are spicy which is helpful as it allows more options for the kids. Additionally, we can prepare an arepa with just melted cheese (similar to a grilled cheese) which you can request at the window.

13. Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?

We sure do! We have 1 signature vegetarian arepa (“La Capresa”) and 2 specialty vegetarian options (“Veggie Lovers” & “La Dominó”) which can both be made vegan. All of which are delicious and full of flavor!
